Jill Ritchie
Jill, a graduate of Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.E) and a Minor in Business, joined Royal Lepage in 1993. From 1994-2022 Jill has been a consistent award winner including the Lifetime Award of Excellence for outstanding sales performance.
Jill and her husband, Kent have 2 sons, Brent and James. Most recently they are "over-the-moon-happy" having welcomed their first grandchild, Florence.
Jill has always been a dreamer and a planner. One of her childhood dreams was to someday own a horse. She was lucky enough to adopt Bucky from the Halifax Bengal Lancers. The bond she felt with Bucky was undeniable and although she recently had to say goodbye to her 23-year-old gentle giant, she will always be thankful for the special connection they had.
Having coached both cross country and track athletes at St Patrick's High School and after watching the very first Bluenose Marathon and being amazed by the sheer determination of the runners, young and old, Jill made the commitment to get off the sidelines and go for it. She trained with the Running Room and ran the Bluenose Marathon in 2005. To her surprise, she qualified for Boston! In 2006, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of running the Boston Marathon and has since run Boston in 2007, 2008, 2014, 2018, and virtually in 2021.
Kent and Jill's newest dream and adventure for the future is to travel across Canada in their recently purchased NuCamp 320 teardrop trailer.
From raising a family to training for marathons to her career in Real Estate, Jill is known for her commitment and enthusiasm. With each and every buyer or seller, Jill prides herself in giving them her honest and upfront real estate opinion.
